Wind Turbine Construction Worker

About the Job

Wind Turbine Construction Workers are part of a crew that targets particular stages of the wind turbine installation. Installation crews vary by company and size of wind farm but typically include a combination of the following: foundation (grout & tension), base-mid, nacelle prep, hub prep, blade prep, top out, cleaning, quality assurance, general alignment, and blade tension. Crews are typically comprised of 4-12 workers; most crews include a mix of workers on the ground and inside the tower (i.e., climbers). Each installation stage takes 1-5 days to complete and includes both specific and general tasks related to construction of wind turbines.
